Less for me, more for we.
Aparigraha Foundation is a grassroots initiative in Gorakhpur working alongside underprivileged children and families, through education, essentials, care and community celebration.
Four commitments, one idea
Aparigraha means non-attachment: give what you can spare, so someone else has enough. That shows up in our work in four ways.

Child education and learning support
Books, learning activities and steady encouragement for children who would otherwise go without.

Clothing and essential support
Clothes and everyday essentials, collected and handed directly to families who need them most.

Support for the underprivileged
Direct, on-the-ground support for individuals and families. Quiet work that adds up to real change.

Care, inclusion and celebration
Festivals and shared moments that remind every child and elder we meet that they belong.
Two promises, countless smiles
Small, sustained actions, repeated often enough, are how we do our biggest work.

One Child, One Opportunity
Sponsor a child's education, books, activities and basic needs. One child, one sponsor, one real chance at a different future.
One opportunity can change a lifetime.
Sunday with Smiles
Every Sunday, our volunteers give two hours to teach, play and build real memories with children in our community.
Two hours of your time, a lifetime of smiles.See it for yourself
A minute from the field. No script, just the children, the volunteers and the work.

How we work
Every drive follows the same four steps, from first conversation to lasting impact.
- 1
Identify community needs
We spend time on the ground first, understanding the challenges of each family and neighbourhood.
- 2
Develop tailored programs
Every drive is shaped around what that community actually needs.
- 3
Engage volunteers and partners
More hands, more resources and more reach for the work.
- 4
Evaluate and improve
We check what is working and what isn't, and adjust. Good intentions aren't enough on their own.
